See the way the Umbrella shaft fits down through
the hole in the framework? This makes the Umbrella Base unnecessary
in a low wind environment. The crisscrossing framework does more
than that... It incorporates the individual strength of each leg
into one extremely solid table base.
The two intersecting cross framing parts are half-lapped
over each other, glued, then drilled for the Umbrella Base, then
rounded over, sanded, and sealed. We go through all this work
to make our furniture study, functional, and beautiful all at
once.
There an no fasteners within sight on our table.
During assembly you may notice that all the fasteners are stainless
steel. We be believe in using top quality components.
