No two piece of wood are exactly
the same. Each has unique character. Owner Max Baldwin sorts
every board and decides where it will look best. He likes to
take care of this himself so that he knows the Baldwin level
of quality is as high as possible. The "blanks" go
into the appropriate pile and move along to the cutting area.
In the cutting area Ryan Baldwin AKA "eagle
eyes" inspects, trims, cuts and if need be traces patterns
on the blanks. He is also the chief bandsawer, but we don't
use the bandsaw much anymore... click next to find out why.
